Full Description

SK 375455? A horse trough fashioned from a single block of stone is a relic of the Little Eaton Gangway, a narrow gauge plateway that was built in 1795 and remained in use until 1908. (1) Nothing is shown at this site on the 1st ed. 25" Ordnance Survey map of c. 1880; however, the 2nd edition shows a trough between the road and the Little Eaton Gangway. (2, 3)
