Description
HOLYWELL STREET 1. 5169 (North-East Side) Holywell House (now part of Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital) SK 3871 SW 1/99 9.8.76.

2. Early C19. Main facades face south-east and north-east away from street. South-east facade ashlar with eaves band and hipped slate roof. 2 storeys 3 windows the northern 1 blank on both floors, sashes with glazing bars. Centre 1st floor window has stone architrave and label. Centre door with segmental hood with panelled frieze supported on 2 freestanding and 2 engaged Tuscan columns. Round arched door with narrow flanking windows, fanlight and 6 panelled door. North eastern facade has triple span hipped roof, centre span with pediment. Ashlar with plinth, sashes with glazing bars. Street or south-western facade, of red brick with 2 windows, 1st floor with stone lintels, sashes with glazing bars. Ground floor has 1 window.
