Description

'SK56SW CHESTERFIELD ROAD NORTH 924-1/1/156 Pleasley Hill Dam and sluices 5m south-west of Pleasley Bridge GV II Dam and sluices. Late C18. Coursed squared stone and ashlar. Dam wall approx 3m thick and 20m wide, has a central cutwater flanked by single elliptical-arched sluices, closed on the water side by side by vertical wooden sluice gates and operating gear. On either side, flanking walls. To east, a stepped spillway. The asset was previously listed twice also under the parish of Pleasley at List entry 1031533. This entry was removed from the List on 10 November 2017.'
