'SK 46 NE PARISH OF SCARCLIFFE MAIN STREET, PALTERTON 7/144 (East Side) 2.12.80 No 46 'Lilac Farmhouse' GV II Farmhouse. Late C18. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings and quoins. Plain tile roof with gable stacks and coped gables with moulded kneelers. Three storeys. West elevation of two symmetrical bays. Central doorway with plain ashlar surround. Panelled door recessed within. Flanked by windows under wedge stone lintels, originally with glazing bar sashes and at the time of re-survey boarded up. Two similar window openings above, one retaining a C19 sash. Two similar but smaller windows above again. Low garden wall attached to west, with stone copings, rounded gatepiers and iron gate.
