'SK 46 NE PARISH OF SCARCLIFFE MAIN STREET, PALTERTON 7/145 (East Side) 8.7.66 Palterton Hall (formerly listed GV as No 48 Main Street) II
Small country house. Early C18. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. Welsh slate roof with ridge and gable stacks. Three storeys. Chamfered quoins and moulded eaves cornice. West elevation of five bays. Central doorway with moulded architrave and hoodmould. Half glazed panelled door. Flanked by glazing bar sashes in plain architraves. Five similar windows above and five similar but smaller windows above again.
