Description
School hall. 1911 by G H Widdows (Derbyshire County Council architect). Brown brick, pebbledashed over sill height, with stone and tile dressings. Steeply pitched plain tile roof with wide overhanging eaves and large stepped external brick side wall stack to north. Both gables have short horizontal pieces to either side and tile dentillations. Single storey and three bays. East elevation has low porch with 5-light casement window over, set in segment headed blind recess with stone keyblock. West elevation has central 3-light window in similar recess with smaller single light casements either side. South elevation has three 3-light dormer windows. All fenestration is small pane casements. Built as part of a group with Highfield Infant and Junior School.
