Description

'PARISH OF OCKBROOK THE SETTLEMENT SK 42 36 6/70 (South Side) Nos 5 and 7 GV II House, now two houses. Late C18, converted and extended in 1810, also with minor C20 alterations. Built as part of the Moravian Settlement. Red brick with gauged brick dressings and slate roof with two large brick ridge stacks, plus dentilled eaves band. Three storeys, three bay main elevation and two bay side elevation. Main front has central moulded doorcase with panelled door and divided overlight. Lattice work wooden porch over with ogival leaded roof. To either side there are early C20 casement windows in original C18 openings under flat arches. Three similar windows above and above again the third storey, which was added in 1810, there are three similar smaller windows. Side elevation has similar casements below segment heads and a segment headed doorcase with panelled door and large bracketed hood to west. Interior of No 5 has the original late C18 stick baluster staircase. Listing NGR: SK4209436052'.
