Description

'SK 43 SE 4/5 PARISH OF BREASTON RISLEY LANE (East Side) Barn to east of Manor Farmhouse GV II Threshing barn, now used as workshop. Mid C18 with later alterations. Red brick with plain tile roof and later external brick stack to south end of west elevation. Single storey and three bays. East elevation has advanced, off centre full height doors with later single storey cowbyre attached to north. To south there are two inserted C20 windows low down and above a line of cross breathers. Similar line of breathers on west elevation and an area of later brickwork with segment headed doorcase to base opposite the double doors. Interior has three simple collared trusses with wind braces which are made up from re-used timber. The wall plates and purlins are also re-used. Included for group value only.
