Description

Drinking fountain, horse-trough and lamp standard. 1889, restored in 1980. Cast iron on a stone base. Trefoil base with steps up on west side. Horse trough around other three sides. Hexagonal body. The main feature facing east, with two sides curving out to piers supporting putti holding urns. Between these a gothic arch enclosing a face in relief, the mouth spouting water. Colonnettes at the angles. Trefoil caps with frieze and blocks in the angles of the trefoil supporting crowns and brackets supporting the lamp standard. The lamp standard has a twisted column with capital and top branching to two tapering square lanterns. Listing NGR: SK4647441736
