Description
Garden walls and gateway. Early C17 with later alterations. Ashlar. Low stone walls, with elaborately moulded ridgeback copings, which step up near their junction with the central gateway. The gateway is set at an angle to the walls and the road, facing north-east, and it has a wide, moulded four-centred arch with a large lintel over which has a heavily moulded returned hoodmould. Above is a crowstepped gable with similar elaborately moulded ridgeback copings as on the walls. Below are a pair of C20 studded wooden doors. The walls to east have been realigned to follow the course of the road.
