Description
'PARISH OF OCKBROOK CHURCH STREET SK 42 35 6/59 (East Side) Gate piers and lychgate with attached railings and wall round All Saints Churchyard. GV II
Gate piers and lychgate, with attached railings and wall. Gate piers, wall and railings erected 1817, lychgate erected 1923. Gate piers are of ashlar, wall of red brick, railings of iron and lychgate of timber with plain tile roof, plus wavy bargeboards . South side of churchyard has continuous railings, with pointed or urn finials on low chamfered stone plinth. To north end are a pair of rusticated stone gate piers with chamfered copings. Attached to east of these is a high brick wall with chamfered stone copings and brick abutments to south side. The lychgate is to the east of the gate piers and has double wooden gates, with a frieze of pierced quatrefoils to the top of each gate. The sides have a solid base and are open above with corner braces supporting the roof trusses which are infilled with vertical studs.
