Description

'SK 3447 3/135 SK 3547 3/135 5167 THE FLEET (East Side) No 25 (Fleet House) II GV Early C19 house. Ashlar and slate roof with kneelers and end chimneys. Two storeys. Three windows, 1st floor unbarred sashes, French casements with margin lights below. Centre trellis porch with tented canopy. Side window has reset stone above originally from the site of the old Manor. Medieval carving of crossed swords in relief. The date 1750, initials 'AS' and a heart are believed to have been added when the stone was removed from the site. Home set back from street in embanked garden. (D. A. J. 2 Vol xii 1890).
