'SK 34 NW ASHBOURNE ROAD (North side)
950/7/239 East and south boundary walls to eastern farm yard 13.12.1979 at Dalley Farm, north and west boundary walls and stone steps to farm complex

Early C19. Range of buildings. Ashlar and red brick with slates and tiles. To eastern farmyard. Coursed stone 2-storey range with 3-storey ambled cross wing incorporated in centre of range Southern facade tins 2 revs of rectangular vents with iron grilles. External stone staircase with right angled turns (presumably) a Strutt safety feature at top and bottom, and retaining wall at east end. Pitching eyes and various doors and windows. Door in north-west corner gives access through to north side of building. Eastern end two vents and loft door. Northern facade (from) east has gabled 2 storey part then catslide roof down over advanced single storey part. This adjoins 3 storey gabled cross wing, 2 iron casements on each floor, side chimney and side external staircase. INTERIOR: has vaulted construction supported by cast iron pillars. To Western farmyard. Southern elevation. Two storey red brick building has tiled roof with vents. Arcade, on massive masonry piers, in front of ground floor with walkway above giving access between east and west sides of yard at lst floor level. Stable door, shuttered opening and archway below, windows and pitching eye above. Northern elevation:- Two storey red brick part, one iron casement on each floor and door. Red brick adjoining range with 9 shuttered openings giving access to cast iron framed grain bins inside - a range each side of raised centre aisle. West end has loft door and windows but modified now to form garage.'
