4/39 Lock to Cromford Canal at SK 443 506

Canal lock. 1792, by William Jessop and Benjamin Outram. Coursed squared stone. Long stone basin with ashlar copings. Indents to either end for housing the gates, which are missing. One of a few remaining locks on the eastern end of the Cromford Canal.
