Description

'PARISH OF SHIPLEY SHIPLEY PARK ROAD SK 44 SW 5/51 (East Side) Colliery Road Bridge to southern end of Shipley Reservoir at SK 446 438 II Road bridge. Late C18 with minor later repairs. Ashlar sandstone with red brick on the inside of the arch. Single semi-circular headed arch with rusticated voussoirs on raised impost blocks and stone base. Above plain band and parapets. North side of arch has later iron strapping. Built as part of the reservoir to feed the Nutbrook Canal which was constructed in the 1790's by the Miller-Mundys of Shipley Hall. Listing NGR: SK4462343889.'
