House and attached conservatory. C18 with late C19 additions and alterations, and c1902 additions and alterations by Macpherson of Derby. Rendered brick with stone dressings, C18 house with rusticated stone quoins, stone plinth and moulded stone cornice, C19 addition with plain stone first floor band and moulded stone cornice. Shallow slate roofs with rendered ridge and side wall stacks. Three storeys with two storey addition and four bays plus two bay addition. Garden front has C18 house to east, C19 addition slightly recessed to north and conservatory beyond to north. C18 house has two uneven glazing bar sashes in moulded shouldered surrounds with dripmoulds to south and c1902 doorcase to north, flanked by narrow glazing bar sashes in similar surrounds to those to south. Doorcase has Ionic half shafts, pulvinated frieze and triangular pediment flanked by steeple finials, with plain sash below. Above, four unevenly spaced, uneven glazing bar sashes in similar surrounds to those below, and above again, six moulded surrounds, four with plain sashes and two blocked. Attached to north is the C19 addition which has two, two storey canted bay windows with glazing bar sashes and beyond is the conservatory with an advanced canted bay to centre with hipped roof. Entrance front has advanced bay to east with C19 two storey canted bay window, a recessed central section with c1902 stone porch to east and Cl8 sashes above, and a c1902 tower to west with addition of same date beyond to west. Canted bay window has glazing bar sashes above and below, and porch has a segmental pedimented doorcase. Tower has C20 doorcase with plain sash over and above again a glazed lantern. Addition to west of no interest. Good quality 1902 interior throughout in C18 style, including large open well staircase with knobbed and twisted balusters.
