'SK 34 SW PARISH OF WESTON UNDERWOOD CUMBERHILLS ROAD 3/105 (North Side) Gothic Temple, 13.2. Kedleston Park II* Folly, now house. c1758-9. Probably by Robert Adam. Red brick faced in sandstone ashlar. Roof hidden behind parapets. Single storey. Gothic style with Dec detail. West elevation of three bays, divided by triple shafted columns with shaft rings and stiff leaf capitals. Each bay has a 3-light pointed window with surprisingly correct reticulated tracery and crocketed ogee hoodmould. Over each window is a trefoiled super arch with upright leaf responds. Blank shields in spandrels and below the sills. Moulded cornice and parapet above with blind triangular headed motifs. The centre bay has a second tall parapet with a blind cross arrow slit, flanked by pierced quatrefoils. Lozenge frieze above. Four crocketed pinnacles. Narrow north and south elevations with) similar parapets and centre bay, flanked by narrow blind bays. Lower block to west. The interior has stucco work by Vassali.
