PARISH OF HOLMESFIELD OWLER BAR SK 27 NE 4/131 31.1.67 The Peacock Inn II Public House. Early C19 with C20 alterations and additions. Regularly coursed gritstone with ashlar dressings, ashlar gable stacks and a stone slate roof. Two ranges, that to the east two storeys, three bays and taller, that to the west of four bays, two storeys, with an advanced gabled wing off-centre to the west. Taller range with stacked 2-light casements in plain flush surrounds, but with pointed arched heads to lights, which have glazing bars. C20 single storey extension to east end, incorporates doorway. Lower four bay range with flush framed windows beneath plain lintels, those to ground floor with flat pointed arched heads. All openings with glazing bars. Advanced wing has blocked circular opening to gable apex.
