Description

'PARISH OF SHIRLAND & HIGHAM MAIN ROAD 38/39 59 38/39 58 6/57 (East Side) Higham House GV II House. C18 with C19 alterations, renovated 1980s. Coursed sandstone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins. Slate roof with lowest two courses in stone slates. Stone ridge. Rendered gable end stacks. Stone coped gables with plain kneelers. Two storeys, three bays. Central flush doorcase with large jambs, lintel and imposts. C20 door. To north, C19 small pane window under flush lintel with renewed 2-light flush mullion window immediately beyond. To south, blocked former doorcase with fixed small pane window. Beyond, large C19 window. Above, two 2-light flush mullion windows with similar single-light window between, over door, All fenestration C20 small pane casements. Listing NGR: SK3902558890.'
