Description

'SK37SW 1264-0/2/102 31/01/67 BRAMPTON GREEN LANE (North side) Garden walls and gatepiers to south-east of Cutthorpe Hall (Formerly Listed as: CUTTHORPE Walling, steps and gatepiers to entrance of Cutthorpe Hall) GV II Garden walls and gatepiers. C18. Coursed rubble sandstone walling on the boundary of Cutthorpe Hall (qv), incorporating semicircular recess, the walling rising to 2 metre height, with quoined returns, ramped copings at junctions with lower walling and flat copings to wall head. Raised gateway, approached by means of 5 semicircular steps of diminishing radii, the gateway defined by ashlar gatepiers, square on plan, terminating just above wall head level and with a boldly oversailing moulded cap to each pier. Plain boarded gate. Listing NGR: SK3448073026.'
