----------- No 29,Higham (formerly listed with Nos 26-28 and No 30 as 26-30 Main Street) The item and description shall be amended to read: MAIN ROAD, HIGHAM (East Side) ------------- 1 No 29 and attached cottage SK 39 59 (formerly listed with 6/53 Nos 26-28 and No 30 as 26- 30 Main Street) GV II 2. House and attached cottage. Late C18 and C19, restored c1980. Coursed squared sandstone with gritstone dressings. Stone slate roof with stone gable end stacks to house and slate roof with a brick gable end stack and remains of stone copings to attached cottage. House, three bays and two storeys; cottage, single bay and two storeys but considerably lower than the house. House has an off-centre doorcase with massive jambs, lintel and imposts and C20 plank door, flanked by 2-light flush mullion windows. Two similar windows over with central semi-circular headed window with projecting keystone, between. Attached to south, the cottage has a C19 doorcase with C20 door to north and a plain sash to south. Above it has a sliding sash.

House. Late C18 with C19 addition, restored 1980's. Coursed squared sandstone with gritstone dressings. Shallow plinth. Stone slate roof with stone gable end stacks. Slate roof with stone ridge, brick gable end stack and remains of stone coping and kneeler to southern addition. Two storeys, three bays plus single bay addition. Off-centre flush doorcase with massive jambs, imposts and lintel. C20 door. To either side, 2-light flush mullion windows. To south, C19 doorcase with C20 door. C19 plain sash beyond. Above, horizontal sliding sash. Over northern door, a semi-circular headed window with projecting keystone. To either side, 2-light flush mullion windows, All fenestration, except to C19 addition, C20 leaded lights.
