Description
'SK 35 NE PARISH OF BRACKENFIELD CARR LANE 4/8 (West Side) 1-1-67 Trinity Chapel (formerly listed as 'Ruins of Trinity Chapel') II Remains of chapel. C16. Massive sand-stone ashlar. Sandstone dressings and quoins. Roofless. Twin semi-circular arches to bellcote on west gable. Stone cross to east gable. Lapped stone coped gables. Single cell building with south porch. Blocked, chamfered 2-light mullion window to west wall. Similar window to north wall. Central 4-light chamfered mullion east window. 3-light chamfered mullion window and similar 2-light blocked window to south wall with south porch to west. Stone seats either side, inside porch. Flat headed, chamfered inner doorcase. Beyond porch to west, blocked single light window. Interior bare except for rectangular niche to north of east window.
