Description

'SK 37 NW 5/143 16.12.75 PARISH OF HOLMESFIELD COWLEY LANE Cowley Farmhouse II Farmhouse. C17 with C20 alterations and additions. Coursed rubble coal measures sandstone with quoins, plain gables, single east gable stone stack and a concrete tiled roof. Two storeys, three bays, with central doorway having a quoined surround with massive lintel, and C20 planked door with central glazed light. Flanking the doorway to the west a 3-light chamfer mullioned window, with similar 2-light opening above. To east of the doorway, a C20 4-light flat roofed bay window with glazing bar casements, and a 2-light chamfer mullion above. The first floor also has a central 3-light chamfer mullioned window. The single storey addition to the east is not of special interest. Listing NGR: SK3378377047.'
