Description

'This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 5 July 2022 to correct typos in the text and reformat to current standards SK 26 NE 5/94 PARISH OF EDENSOR CHATSWORTH ROAD One Arch Bridge 12.7.67 GV II* Road bridge at south end of Chatsworth Park. 1759-60 by James Paine. Coursed squared sandstone and ashlar. Single round arch, triple stepped arch with plain hoodmould. Five plain ribs below. Triangular buttresses on each bank. The parapet has a plain band and chamfered coping, and rises to the centre. Flanking walls on either side. In the wall to the north east a doorway with rusticated surround. Also scheduled as an Ancient Monument. Listing NGR: SK2607068442.'
