Description
Road bridge at south end of Chatsworth Park. 1759-60 by James Paine. Coursed squared sandstone and ashlar. Single round arch, triple stepped arch with plain hoodmould. Five plain ribs below. Triangular buttresses on each bank. The parapet has a plain band and chamfered coping, and rises to the centre. Planking walls on either side. In the wall to the north east a doorway with rusticated surround. Also scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
