Description

'SK 26 SW PARISH OF ELTON DUDWOOD LANE 2/5 (East Side) Meadowside II House, formerly a pair. Dated 1737, but with early C19 alterations and additions. Regularly coursed gritstone blocks, with rusticated quoins, coped gables with moulded kneelers, moulded eaves band, end ridge stacks. Welsh and stone slates and plain tiles. Staggered double pile plan. Two storeys, two bays with sash and casement frames with margin glazing in openings with moulded stone architraves. Central doorway with coupled doors, each with moulded architraves beneath deep hood mould. Plain plank doors. Plaque above door reads M W H 1737. Chamfer stops to interior beams confirm C18 date. Listing NGR: SK2289261568.'
