SK 17 NE PARISH OF GREAT HUCKLOW TROT LANE 3/83 (East Side) Stanley House and attached stableblock II
Farmhouse and attached stableblock, now incorporated into house. 1781 and early C19. Coursed squared limestone with gritstone dressings and quoins. C20 concrete tile roof with stone gable end stacks to house. Stone slates to stableblock. Double range plan with stableblock attached to rear range. Three bay house of two storeys. Steps up to central doorcase with moulded, bracketed stone hood. Panelled door with plain overlight. To either side glazing bar sashes in raised plain surrounds. Three similar windows over. Set back to west stableblock with central segmental headed quoined archway, now glazed. Keystone inscribed 'RC 1781'. To either side C20 windows. Two similar over.
