Description

SK 25 53 CARSINGTON BOTTOM LANE 6/64 (South Side) 13.9.57 Glebe House,(formerly listed GV Post Office called Glebe House ) II House. C17 with C19 additions. Coursed gritstone rubble with gritstone dressings. Plain tile roof with stone ridge. Two gable end stacks, one brick. L-plan, two storeys, four bays with later gabled projection, incorporating C17, 3-light chamfered mullion window. Also side doorcase with C20 glazed door and string- course at first floor level. To east, three recessed and chamfered mullion windows, now all 2-light, formerly 3-light, 2-light and 4-light. Doorcase to extreme east with stone quoins and lintel. Above three recessed and chamfered mullion windows, two with iron glazing bar casements. To east of house, C19 single storey addition. Listing NGR: SK2518153366
