Description

Former mill, now workshops. c1850. Regularly coursed gritstone, with rusticated quoins, plain gables, intermediate ridge stacks and Welsh slated roof. North west elevation. Two storeys, ten bays, the three bays to the north east end a dwelling. The fourth bay is slightly advanced and pedimented, with a depressed entrance archway with rusticated voussoirs with keyblock, giving access to an inner court- yard. Tripartite sash window above archway and, within apex of pediment, above a broad bandcourse, a stone roundel, formerly housing a clock face. Elsewhere, glazing bar sashes in flush stone surrounds, one modified to south west end bay at first floor level to serve as hoist entry. Detached tapering square stone chimeny to rear of works.
