Coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings. Westmorland slate roof with two ashlar ridge stacks. Two storeys. South elevation of four bays. The post office has a C19 doorway and 2-light casement under continuous lintel. To the left a C19 shop windows. Cottage to the left has a 2-light square section flush mullion window and a doorway with massive lintel and quoins. Three 2-light square section flush mullion windows above. Post Office continues around the corner to the right with a 2-light casement window to each floor, the upper one with square section flush stone surround. Included for group value only.
