Description

'PARISH OF EDENSOR CALTON LEES SK 26 NE 5/93 (East Side) Calton Lees House GV II House. Possibly C17, and early C19. Coursed squared sandstone and ashlar. Stone slate roof with blue brick gable stacks. T-plan, two storeys. Symmetrical north elevation of five bays. Central doorway with moulded eaved surround and hoodmould. Panelled door with rectangular overlight divided by a stone mullion. Flanked on each side by two glazing bar sashes linked by continuous sill and lintel bands. The first floor has five glazing bar sashes with continuous sill and lintel bands. The rear wing contains a massive cruck truss visible only in its lower parts, possibly in situ.
