PARISH OF MIDDLETON AND SMERRILL RAKE LANE (off) SK 16 SE 4/44 Kings Croft (formerly listed as Farmhouse 110 yds of Bateman's Monument) GV II House. Early C19. Coursed squared limestone with gritstone dressings, plain gables, end ridge stacks and stone slates. 'L' plan. Two storeys, three bays with 2-light chamfer mullioned windows. Single light opening above doorway and ground floor windows, all with hood moulds with stops, cast iron frames with Gothic glazing. Central doorway with stone surround and hood mould with stops, recessed within segmental arch with projecting keyblock and padstones. Plank door with rectangular light.
