Description

Farmhouse. Early C19. Rendered limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins. Plain tile roof. Ashlar gable end and ridge stacks with plain decorative bands. Stone coped gables. Two storeys, three bays with lower two storey extension to north-east. Central quoined doorcase with projecting moulded architrave. Corner stops decorated with flower design. Moulded cornice over. To either side, uneven glazing bar sashes in plain surround with projecting sills. Three similar windows above. To east, lower extension projecting forward. 2-light flush mullion with casements to side, glazing bar sash on gable wall. Attached to south limestone rubble with rubble copings, enclosing garden to north. Placed centrally in front of house, two gritstone square gatepiers with moulded cornices. Base of large finials to both piers. Listing NGR: SK0906866940
