PARISH OF PILSLEY HIGH STREET SK 27 SW 2/156 (North Side) 12.7.67 Bradley House & Top House (formerly listed as House at West of Village) II Farmhouse, now divided in two. C17, enlarged and altered mid C19. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. Stone slate roof with a coped gable to west, with moulded kneelers. Ashlar gable stacks, of paired diamond plan, to Bradley House. Two storeys, T-plan. Bradley house forms the head of the T and has a symmetrical 3-bay east elevation. Central doorway with stone jambs, lintel and bracketed hood. Raised and fielded panel door with rectangular overlight. Flanked by 3-light casement windows with returned hoodmoulds. The first floor has two similar windows either side of a similar 2-light window. Top house to rear has a three bay south elevation. In the return angle is a blocked doorway with small window set in and gable line of a porch. To the left is a C19 doorway with stone lintel and half-glazed door. To the left again is a 3-light window with timber mullions. The first floor has three 2-light recessed and chamfered mullion windows. Moulded cornice above. Single storey C20 bay to west not of special interest.
