Description

'822/0/10007 ASHBOURNE STURSTON ROAD 7, 9, 11 and 15 23-OCT-01 GV II Cottage row. Late C18/early C19. Rendered brick Staffordshire blue tile roof and red brick chimney stacks (except to No 15). Double-depth plan. Two storeys; five-window front with original 8/8-pane sashes to Nos 9, 11 and 15, and C20 cross windows to Nos 7 and 13. Plank doors in pegged timber frames. C20 windows to rear. Interior not inspected. A substantially complete urban cottage row of this period, No 13 being the birthplace of Katherine Mumford, later to become wife of the founder of the Salvation Army, General Booth. Listing NGR: SK1819746347.'
