Description

Stableblock, now store rooms. Late C18 with minor C20 alterations. Red brick with gauged brick dressings and hipped slate roofs plus sawtooth eaves band. Seven bay, two storey central block with three bay single storey flanking wings. Advanced, pedimented central bay has a depressed segmental arch, with double plank doors, to ground floor. To either side there are three semi-circular headed openings each with traceried fanlights. Those to north have the original arrangement of small- pane casements flanking a central door, but those to south have a similar window to north and two doors to south. Beyond to either side in the recessed flanking wings there are three more similar semi-circular headed openings, those to south with windows flanking a central door and those to north with window to south and two doors to north. Above to central block there are seven flat arched openings, five with glazing bar sashes and centre ones to either side blocked. Centre bay has stone pediment. Listing NGR: SK3685928623
