Listed Building: Hardinge Arms (1096391)

'SK 32 NE PARISH OF MELBOURNE MAIN STREET, KINGS 3/121 NEWTON 10.11.67 (South Side) Hardinge Arms GV II House, now public house. C18 with C19 alterations and large C20 addition. Painted brick on rendered plinth, plus vestiges of timber framing. Plain tile roof with two brick ridge stacks and a side wall stack to west. Four bays, part two storeys and part single storey plus attics. Advanced gabled bay to west has timber posts to either side, but to the front it has a central C20 glazed door to east and above, a C20 3-light window. To east the ground floor has a segment headed doorcase with panelled door flanked by segment headed windows, that to west with small paned 3-light casement and that to east with C20 casement. Beyond to east is a plank door. Above, there are two 3-light small paned casements to east and a C20 2-light window in a gabled half dormer to west. Large C20 rear addition of no interest.
