House. C17 and late C18. Red brick with plain tile roof. Decorative ridge tiles. Gable stacks, that to the west external. Sawtooth eaves cornice. Two storeys. T-plan. South elevation of five bays. Central ashlar doorcase with open pediment and moulded pilasters. Panelled door with traceried fanlight. Flanked by two glazing bar sashes with keyed wedge stone lintels. Five similar windows above.
Interior: Open string stick baluster staircase with ramped handrail. One ground floor room with an Adam style chimneypiece, the other with the remains of an inglenook. Panelled shutters. Minton tiled entrance hall. The Walnuts throughout much of the C19 was the home of the descendants of George Turner (1843-1910).
