'SK 26/2731 PARISH OF ETWALL MAIN STREET 6/25 (South Side) Hawk and Buckle Inn and attached Stableblock, No. 46 GV II
Public house and attached stableblock. Early C19. Red brick with painted stone dressings and hipped plain tile roofs with brick ridge stacks and dentilled eaves band. Two storeys, five bay house with three bay stableblock attached to west. House has central moulded doorcase with plain frieze and dentilled cornice, below there is a raised and fielded panelled door and a divided overlight. To either side are pairs of glazing bar sashes under wedge lintels, and above, five similar sashes. Attached to west is the stableblock which has a wide segment headed archway through the building to the east, and to the west two blocked windows with wedge lintels. Above, three similar blocked windows. Included for group value only.
