Description
'SK 23 NE PARISH OF OSLESTON & THURVASTON TRUSLEY LANE 2/41 (North Side) The Elms II Farmhouse. Early C17, encased in early C18 and re-fronted in late C19. Box timber framing on stone plinth, encased in brick, now partly rendered. Plain tile roof with brick gable stack to north and brick stack to south end of valley gutter between - roofs. Plain first floor bands. Two storeys plus attics and two bays. South front was completely rebuilt in late C19 and has a central gabled porch, with C20 door, flanked by glazing bar sashes under shallow segment heads. Above, two similar and above again, two 2-light casements under cambered heads. West elevation has rendered early C18 encasing with central doorcase, flanked by a 3-light casement to north and a plain sash to south. Above, to north, is a 3-light casement under a segment head. Interior has exposed timber frame, large inglenook fireplaces with cupboards to sides, good splat baluster staircase and a C17 oak panelled door.
