Description
PARISH OF TICKNALL MAIN STREET SK 32 SE 4/115 (North Side) No 161 (Royal Oak House) II House. Early C18 and early C19. Rubblestone and red brick. Plain tile roof with brick gable and ridge stacks. Dentil eaves cornice to brick part. Two storeys. Irregular three bay south elevation. Central gabled bay of rubblestone has to the ground floor a broad 14 over 14 pane glazing bar sashes and brick segmental arch. Glazing bar sash above of 12 over 12 panes, under a timber lintel. Small glazing bar sash under timber lintel in the gable. Early C19 brick bay to right has a doorway with C19 half-glazed door, under a wedge brick lintel. To the right again a glazing bar sash of six over six panes, under a wedge brick lintel. Similar window above. Rubblestone bay set back to left has C20 fenestration and one 2-light casement to the first floor.
