Description

'SK 38/3925 PARISH OF MELBOURNE MARKET PLACE 6/141 (North Side) No 10 GV II Two cottages, now one. C18 with early and late C19 alterations. Pebbledashed brick and stone rubble with slate roof, plus brick gable stacks and a large central brick ridge stack, also with stepped eaves bands. Two storeys and four bays. C19 shop front to east with moulded cornice has a segment headed doorcase with glazed door adjacent to west. Beyond to west there are two 3-light segment headed windows with C20 casements and a similar 2-light window in former doorcase to far west. Above there are two 2-light horizontal sliding glazing bar sashes to west and two small paned C20 top hung casements to east. Interior has low ceilings with chamfered beams and an inglenook fireplace. Included for group value only. Listing NGR: SK3864725189.'
