Description

'SK 32 NE PARISH OF MELBOURNE TRENT LANE, KINGS 3/171 NEWTON (West Elide) Elms Farmhouse II Farmhouse. 1801-4 with early C20 alterations. Red brick on stone plinth with gauged brick dressings and plain tile roof with brick gable stacks and one brick ridge stack, plus stepped eaves band. Two storeys plus garrets and four bays. Segment headed doorcase with panelled door and small paned overlight to south with 3-light segment headed window beyond to south which has two pane casements below and fixed small panes above. To north of the doorcase there is a central bay window with sashes below plain stone lintels, the upper sashes with glazing bars and the lower sashes without. Beyond to north there is a similar 3-light window to that to south. Above there are three similar windows and a similar 2-light one over the door. To the north of this window there is a fire insurance plaque. Listing NGR: SK3901226415.'
