Description

'This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 7 March 2022 to update text and reformat to current standards SK 23 NW 1/6 PARISH OF BARTON BLOUNT LEAPLY LANE (West Side) Barton Park House II Farmhouse. Mid C18 and early C19. Red brick with plain tile hipped roof with one brick stack and plain tile pitched roof to rear wing with two brick gable stacks. Two storeys, L-plan. Mid C18 rear wing has a three bay east elevation. Central C19 gabled porch with panelled door and fanlight. To the right a glazing bar sash with segment head, to the left a pair of C19 glazing bar sashes under a segment head. Two glazing bar sashes above under segment heads, either side of a blocked window with segment head. Early C19 front range with a symmetrical three bay south elevation, the centre bay advanced. Central C20 hipped roof open porch. Panelled door, flanked on each side by tripartite glazing bar sash windows with segment relieving arches. Three glazing bar sashes above under flat heads. The entrance hall has an open well oak staircase, open string with carved tread ends, wreathed handrail and stick balusters. Segmental arch across the hall with reeded surround. Two front rooms have reeded cornices and door surrounds. A room at the back has inglenook fireplace and exposed beams. Listing NGR: SK1983135610.'
