Description

'SK 38/3925 PARISH OF MELBOURNE DERBY ROAD 6/106 (West Side) No 33 and Attached Building to South GV II Pair of houses, now shop, offices and restaurant. 1810 with later alterations. Red brick with painted stone dressings and plain tile roofs with brick gable stack to north and brick ridge stack to centre, plus dentilled eaves bands. Both three storeys, No 33 with two bays and attached building, single bay with angled side elevation. No 33 to north has a central doorcase with panelled door. To north there is a C20 casement window and to south there is a pilastered late C19 shop window with moulded cornice and slim central colonnette. Above the doorcase there is a brick inscribed 'WW 1810' and above again to either side there are two C20 casements.Two shallow glazing bar sashes above. All openings have panelled wedge lintels with keystones. To south the attached building has a large three paned C19 shop window with moulded cornice to ground floor and a C20 glazing bar casement below panelled wedge lintel with keystone above. Similar smaller window above. Angled gable wall has a panelled door with similar lintel to east and a another door with flanking C20 glazing bar casements below similar lintels to west. Similar window above and a small circular window to east. Listing NGR: SK3857425355.'
