Description
Road bridge of several builds but said to date from 1683 (Pevsner). Irregular squared rubble with dressed stone parapets. One large pointed arch span which is double- recessed. Chamfered coping stones to parapet walls which were formerly hump-backed like the road, both of which are now flat. A bridge of a particularly wide span if the date is to be believed.
The asset was previously listed twice also under the parish of Longdendale at List entry 1309562. This entry was removed from the List on 3 November 2017.
