SK 04 86 PARISH OF HAYFIELD HIGHGATE ROAD 7/I23 (East Side) Stubbs II
Farmhouse, now house. Late CI8. Coursed squared gritstone with quoins. Flush gritstone dressings. Stone slate roof. Stone gable end and off- centre ridge stacks. Stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. Two storeys, double fronted elevation. Central doorcase with flush jambs and lintel. C20 door. To west three-light flush mullion window. To east C20 french windows with leaded lights, Above door,small single light window. To either side three-light flush mullion windows. To west gable wall modern extension with mullioned windows. To rear unusual T - shaped stairwell window. Two two- light flush mullion windows, joined by low three-light flush mullion window. Below central light a long single light. Only central part lights the stairwell. Good original turned baluster staircase.
