SK 08 SE PARISH OF CHINLEY, BUXWORTH AND BROWNSIDE BEET LANE 4/73 (East Side) Upperfold Farmhouse GV II
Farmhouse. CI7, CI8 with CI9 alterations. Coursed gritstone rubble with quoins. Stone slate roof. Stone gable end , ridge and side wall stacks. Two storeys, L-plan. South elevation - CI8 three-light flush mullion windows with leaded side lights and central sash, to west. To east, CI9 projection with similar three-light flush mullion windows. In corner CI9 porch. North elevation - three-light chamfered mullion windows, western light with metal glazing bar. Two-light similar window over. East elevation has CI8 mullions in, formerly four-light,chamfered mullion window. Interior has ovolo moulded beams. Stone flagged floors and original oak stud partition. Various cI8 panelled cupboards.
