SK 18 NE PARISH OF DERWENT OFF DERWENT LANE 4/41 (East Side) High House Farmhouse and attached outbuilding and garden walls II Farmhouse and attached outbuildings. C18 and C19. Coursed gritstone and coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings. Stone slate roof with a stone ridge stack and a gable end stack. Two storeys. South elevation. Double fronted house part to the left with quoins. Central doorway with plain stone lintel and jambs. Flanked on each side by a 2-light window with square section mullions. Two 2-light windows above with recessed chamfered mullions and surrounds. Outbuildings to the right under a continuous roof, of squared stone. A doorway on the ground floor with stone lintel and jambs and a small window to the right. Single window above with stone lintel, sill and jambs. Further two storey outbuildings to the right but under a lower roof. The ground floor has a window with a stone sill and lintel and a cart entrance to the right. Two similar windows above. The west gable end wall has an extra dry stone wall built up against it. The north elevation has no openings. Attached drystone garden wall in front of house. Listing NGR: SK1904088663
