Full Description

SK 33328 45378. A quantity of Roman pottery, including Derbyshire Ware and some finer sherds, was found in a sewer trench in a field east of Hazelwood Road, south of the junction to Hazelwood Hall in or about 1962. (1) At SK 3326 4539 a manhole indicates the location of the sewer on a steep pasture hillside. Nothing of interest was observed as the trench was grassed over. (2)
