Full Description

Pottery and flints were collected in Field WE11, centred at SK 47146451, during field-walking by Sherwood Archaeological Society in the 1970s and early 1980s. The former included ten sherds of Romano-British pottery, 10 sherds of medieval pottery (of which four came from one pot) and 36 sherds dating from the 17th to the 19th centuries. (1) The latter consisted of 40 pieces of flint, including 2 tools (both scrapers), 26 flakes, three core fragments, two hammerstone fragments and 7 waste flakes. (2)
